Where is Tena in Ecuador?


Tena is a canton of the Napo Province. It is located on the Valley of the Misahuallí river and is located at an altitude of 510 meters above sea level, in the Amazon Region of Ecuador.

On November 15, Tena, the capital of the province of Napo, celebrates the foundation (1560). Tena also known as the capital of Wuayusa and Cinnamon, is located in the Amazon bathed by the Tena and Pano Rivers.

Two rivers of crystalline waters cross Tena, the Pano River flows into the Tena River in the Center of the city. A few decameters further down, the Tena river joins the Misahuallí, which flows into the Napo River in the town of Misahuallí.
